The logic gates and memory cells consist of moving and moved plates with cutouts, coupled by switching pins, grouped into layers, grouped into blocks. The original was destroyed in World War II. In the 1980s, a reconstruction was completed by Konrad Zuse himself and helpers. The camera was mounted on a Dolly and was driven around the Z1 replica in Deutsches Technisches Museum in Berlin, taking the pictures with different degrees of zooming, from three different vertical angles (pitch angle) and hundreds of points of view around the machine. After discontinuation of Adobe Flash Player, panorama viewer on zuse-z1.zib.de became unusable with modern browsers.
